Alice Fisher grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earned a B.A. in History and teaching certification in secondary mathematics from Rice University in 1996, and earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics at the University of Houston in 2014. After graduation from Rice University, she taught middle school and high school mathematics at the following Houston-area schools: Annunciation Orthodox School, River Oaks Baptist School, KIPP Academy, Chavez and Reagan High Schools.
Since 2008, she has served as Instructional Coach and Master Teacher for RUSMP programs. Alice recently joined the Texas Instruments Teachers Teaching with Technology (T3) program as a T3 Regional Instructor, and was selected to be a Code.org AP Computer Science Principles Facilitator. Alice's passion lies in sharing her love of mathematics and problem-solving with students and other teachers. She also teaches mathematics and computer science part-time at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
Alice is happily married with one daughter who attends a HISD school, Garden Oaks Montessori Magnet School (GOMM). She and her husband, John, love to travel (they backpacked in South America over 5 months!) and be active.
