This course is designed for Algebra I teachers. It will cover the teaching of beginning algebra with an emphasis on mathematical models and representations, variables and functions, and symbolic reasoning.
- Foundation concepts for secondary mathematics
- Algebraic thinking and symbolic reasoning
- Function concepts
- Tools for algebraic thinking
- Assessment strategies
Each teacher will receive course materials, Gifted and Talented credit, and professional development credit.
