Annual Fall and Spring Networking Conferences
RUSMP has hosted annual Fall and Spring Networking Conferences since 1987 at which distinguished educators speak and RUSMP alumni, Master Teachers, and Support Teachers make presentations to share new resources and teaching ideas. A luncheon for all present provides a networking mechanism for the various summer and academic-year programs.
The 2008 Fall Networking Conference had been canceled due to the possibility of inclement weather related to Hurricane Ike. The Spring Networking Conference will be January 31, 2009.
The 2008 Spring Networking Conference was held at Duncan Hall on the Rice University campus, and featured Dr. Robin A. Ward, Associate Director for Curriculum Integration at RUSMP, and Dr. Nita Copley, Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Houston's College of Education.
