Call for Proposals for Presentations

We welcome mathematics educators and leaders to submit a short proposal to present at the 2026 Rice University Mathematics Educator Summit (RUMES— RUSMP’s 80th Networking Conference). Sessions will be 60-minute long. Presenters should plan for an interactive and engaging session providing the audience with practical ideas/activities/resources that can be directly used/implemented in classrooms.

Proposals will be evaluated based on three main areas:
1. Alignment with conference theme and strands
2. Practicality of the material to be presented
3. Alignment with standards (TEKS, RBIS etc.)

Deadline to Submit: Sunday, September 6, 11:59pm. 

Proposal acceptance decisions will be announced around September 25.

SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL

The breakout sessions will be held from 10:15–11:15 a.m. and 12:30–1:30 p.m. If your proposal is accepted, your session will be scheduled during one of these two time slots. Presenters will be required to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled session and are strongly encouraged to participate in the full conference.
