These one-week (5-day) activity-filled half-day math camps for students rising to 2nd-grade through 6th-grade engage students in fun, hands-on mathematics investigations and games with connections to science, technology, engineering, and the visual arts. Students leave the camps more energized and enthusiastic about mathematics and the other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) disciplines.
Cost: $270 per student per week (5 days)
These two-week (10 days) math programs for students rising to 7th-grade, 8th-grade, and 9th-grade and a three-week math program (12 days) for students who have completed precalculus provide students with opportunities to refine and deepen their understanding of important mathematics concepts necessary for success in future mathematics classes.
(1) Two-week programs for students rising to 7th-grade, 8th-grade, and 9th-grade:
Through the lens of computational thinking, students will explore mathematics using technology to develop inductive and visual reasoning. Hands-on activities integrating mathematics and computer science will provide an innovative approach to learning mathematics.
Cost: $550 per student for the 2-week program (10 days)
(2) For students who have completed precalculus:
At the end of this program, students are better equipped for the rigor of college-level mathematics and for success on A.P. Calculus and I.B. Mathematics exams. Proof, justification, and authentic problems are explored using a variety of methods including graphing technology and other computing tools.
Cost: $650 per student for the 3-week program (12 days)
