RUSMP's Director of Research Adem Ekmekci (center), at CHCP's grand opening on October 20, 022 of its newest campus, was acknowledged for his study on CHCP's impact on students. With him are Eric Bing (CHCP President), Joanitt Montano (CHCP Provost), Alican Odemis (former RUSMP Graduate Assistant) , and Juliet Stipeche (Director of Human Services and Executive Director Workforce Solutions, Gulf Coast Workforce Board).

Dr. Adem Ekmekci, the director of research for RUSMP, and Alican Odemis, former RUSMP graduate assistant and a doctoral student at Rice's department of Economics, published a report on the role of The College of Health Care Professions in helping Hispanic students to develop the skills needed to meet the demands of the healthcare industry.
