RUSMP concluded another wonderful year of camps and programs for students!
These included our 5-day half-day math camps at St. Mark’s Episcopal School for students rising to 2nd-grade through 6th-grade, our 10-day programs at Episcopal High School for rising 7th- and 8th-grade students and Algebra I and Geometry students, our 12-day program at Episcopal High School for rising Calculus students, and our 9-day program in the RUSMP classroom for rising 8th-10th grade students.
Here are just some of the comments students made about this year's camps and programs:
- I liked how different math concepts were taught in a fun and enjoyable way.
- I enjoyed the social interactions with other students.
- The teachers were really nice and they made the work very fun.
- I loved the environment and settings to work around new people that later became friends in the camp.
- This camp was helpful and an eye-opener when it comes to opportunity, also gave me a better understanding of all math subjects.
- I liked that this camp challenged me and introduced me to new stuff in math.
- I liked that this camp gave us a different way to view things in the world of math.
- I liked the teachers because they knew what they were teaching and were very helpful.
- I really enjoyed the pacing of the camp since it helped me understand concepts.
- I enjoyed the teachers’ enthusiasm about math!
- The camp went into plenty of detail and the teachers made sure we all understood everything and gave lots of examples.
