Dr. Talithia Williams

On Friday, March 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM CST, Dr. Talithia Williams will speak on her personal journey as a woman of color in statistics and share ways in which we can excite public interest in mathematics. 

Dr. Talithia Williams, who received her PhD in Statistics at Rice, is currently a Harvey Mudd College professor, a co-host of the PBS NOVA series NOVA Wonders and a speaker whose popular TED Talk, “Own Your Body’s Data,” extols the value of statistics in quantifying personal health information. Her talk on March 19 is part of the We Speak: Inspiring Women in Math Speaker Series by the Association for Women in Mathematics.
