Rice will be hosting its 14th "Reach for the Stars" Festival (formerly Sally Ride Festival) on April 9 (9 am - 3:30 pm), in the PCF Tent area (plus Kraft Hall and Keck Hall)

Especially for middle school girls, it is a fun and educational day.  Each girl chooses an interest track (Astronomy and Space; Physical Science and Math;  Medicine and Bioscience; or Engineering and Robotics.)  Each girl gets two hands-on workshops, a Career panel, time in the Exhibits, and lunch with a Keynote speaker.  This year the speaker is Dr. Nicola (Nicky) Fox, Head of the Heliospheric Division at NASA Headquarters and former Chief Scientist for the Parker Solar Probe.
