Rice's Tudor Fieldhouse turns into a busting educational classroom with activity as more than 4,000 energetic students from greater Houston area independent school districts learn about mathematics and science and attend a men's basketball game each year. The annual "School House Mania" event is sponsored by the Rice Athletics Department. Prior to the game, students participate in educational activities presented by the Rice University School Mathematics Project (RUSMP).

This year's version included both the men's and women's basketball teams in action against North American University Dec. 15 and Sam Houston State University Dec. 16, respectively. The students in attendance enjoyed afternoons of academics and athletics as the Owls won both games.
