The Texas Education Agency released guidance to school district administrators on January 17th notifying districts that three Computer Science (CS) courses will now receive weighted funding through their CTE allotment based on enrollment in the 2018-19 school year. These courses are:

Fundamentals of Computer Science 03580140
Computer Science I 03580200
AP Computer Science Principles A358030

The three courses are part of the new Cybersecurity CTE pathway approved by the State Legislature as part of House Bill 3593. The full correspondence from TEA is available here.

It is the perfect time to prepare to teach Fundamentals of Computer Science and AP Computer Science Principles by enrolling in RUSMP's Code.org 2019-20 Professional Learning Programs.
