Keri Warren was awarded the 2018 We Teach CS Change Maker Award sponsored by Texas Instruments and Oracle at the WeTeach_CS Summit in Georgetown Texas on June 18. We Teach_CS is a program of the University of Texas Center for STEM Education. Keri, a participant in RUSMP's Code.org and WeTeach_CS programs was nominated by RUSMP for her commitment to computer science education. A total of four teachers are selected each year from all public, private, and charter elementary, middle or high schools in the state. Teachers were evaluated based on their leadership and commitment in providing increased access to computer science education, their efforts to impact educational change on their campuses, and their achievements in advancing and promoting computer science education. Along with the award, Keri received a $750 honorarium. RUSMP congratulates Keri on an extremely well-deserved award!
