RUSMP Project Administrator, Lilly Bonner, was awarded the Ruth M. Parks Award for Distinguished Service for her 20 years of exceptional service to the Wiess School of Natural Sciences at the annual Science and Engineering Ice Cream Social on April 19.
The Ruth Parks Award for Distinguished Service is conferred on one Wiess School staff member each year in recognition of long-standing and distinguished service to the School, departments and programs.
This award was first conferred on Ruth Parks in 1999 to recognize the breadth and depth of her more than 35 years of extraordinary service to the School and the deans. Ruth witnessed the conferral on two staff members in subsequent years prior to her retirement in 2001. An endowment was established in Ruth’s memory to ensure continuation of this recognition and award each year on a Wiess School staff member.
