The Rice University Mathematics Department is hosting a summer program June 4-15 for current Houston ISD 7th- and 8th-grade students: Patterns, Math, and You. Students will explore mathematics and have the opportunity to interact with mathematics professors, graduate students, and other students interested in math.

This program is led by Professor Anthony Várilly-Alvarado who received the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER grant. The application deadline is January 22, 2018, and the enrollment is limited to 10 students.
