RUSMP Director Anne Papakonstantinou and Executive Director Richard Parr facilitated a day-long professional development workshop for the Waltrip High School mathematics department on August 14, 2018. During this session, teachers explored the development of functions from Algebra I through Calculus. Teachers engaged in hands-on activities and rich discussions. Best practices for teaching functions, questioning strategies, and the appropriate use of technology were discussed. Teachers left energized and equipped with a plethora of strategies that they will use to help their students better understand functions.
