RUSMP hosted it's annual Spring Networking Conference on Saturday February 3. The theme for the conference was “College Readiness: Where Does It Begin?” The conference began with a lively discussion about college readiness led by the community college mathematics faculty with audience participation. Presentations by dual credit mathematics teachers on Developing Mathematical Perseverance, Language in the Mathematics Classroom, and Selling Students on Themselves: The Educational Usefulness of the Concept of Growth Mindset engaged the large audience in conversations and debates on pre-requisite skills for success including social and emotional readiness and organizational and communication skills.
