The Evaluation Center - Western Michigan University

The Evaluation Center is a research and development unit that provides national and international leadership for advancing the theory and practice of evaluation, as applied to education and human services.

Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh

LRDC is a multidisciplinary research center whose mission is to understand and improve learning by children and adults in the organizational settings in which they live and work: schools, museums, and other informal learning environments and workplaces. Fields of research include: processes of learning: learning in schools and museums; educational improvement; education policy and practice; learning and technology; and learning and work.

Wisconsin Center for Education Research

The Wisconsin Center for Education Research is one of the oldest, largest and most productive education research centers in the world. WCER provides a productive environment where some of the country's leading scholars conduct basic reason and applied educational research. The WCER roster includes nearly two dozen research centers and projects that are currently investigating a host of topics germane to education.

National Center for Research on Teacher Learning - Michigan State University

NCRTL focused on a study on whether formal teacher education programs had any value in the formation of teachers. A second study by NCRTL addresses how people read and respond to research. The center is dedicated to discovering how to create engaging narratives through research that piques the interest of teachers.

National Center for Education Statistics

Part of the U.S. Department of Education, NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education the United States and other nations. NCES fulfills a congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and reviews education activities internationally.

The SSBR is a service that provides links to information from national agencies. The site contains access to various Federal social statistics, including crime statistics, demographic statistics, education statistics, and health statistics.

PEW Charitable Trusts

The PEW Charitable Trusts is a national philanthropy supporting work in six program areas--culture, education, environment, health and human services, public policy, and religion. In addition the Venture Fund supports independent projects that take an interdisciplinary approach to broad issues of significant interests of concern.

W.K. Kellogg Foundation

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is " to help people help themselves through the practical application of knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life and that of future generations." Since its beginning, the Foundation has continuously focused on building the capacity of individuals, communities, and institutions to solve their own problems.

Consortium for Policy Research in Education

Created in 1985, CPRE unites researchers from five of the nation's leading universities to improve elementary and secondary education through research on policy, finance, school reform, and school governance.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education

This site offers information about the ENC and its products and services. The ENC works to disseminate effective materials and teaching methods to mathematics and science teachers nationwide.

Regional Educational Laboratories

The Regional Educational Laboratories are educational research and development organizations supported by contracts with the U.S. Education Department, Office of Educational Research and Improvement.
